With the warning from the International Labour Organisation that South Africa’s unemployment will slip from the current 8th highest to 6th highest by 2020, this is indeed not good news and it should serve as a wake-up call for all South Africans. This is a serious challenge to our future security with our existing high unemployment set to deteriorate even further. This will mean that we need to stand together and become future smart and future ready to take on this challenge. Five years is not a long time and the sooner we begin the better. We must find ways to make our communities more resourceful and self-reliant so that we look to ourselves first, instead of waiting for others to come to our rescue. With the BBN SA Vision 2020 5-Star Community Challenge, you could be playing an effective role in helping and even leading your community to achieve success in the area of employment creation. Yes, it will take passion, determination and effort but what excuse will we be giving the next generation if we do not take up this challenge in our generation? In the words of ex President Nelson Mandela “It seems impossible until it is done”. Better to do something and fail than to do nothing at all. At BBN we firmly believe that South Africa does have what it takes. What is needed is a Definite GOAL, Practical PLAN and an Urgent DEADLINE. This is already in place, researched, developed, tested and perfected over a number of years as an all-South African plan. So will you be taking up this challenge for your community?
“Those who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed.” – Lloyd Jones.
